The shoot

How long will the session take?
Most sessions take 20-40 minutes. However you won’t be rushed if it does take longer. Morffew photos specialise in children and we realise that you can’t force them to do things.

How many pictures do you take?
There’s no limit to how many images we take in a session, we keep shooting until we think we have enough great shots. However normally we take 100-200 and then edit those to the best 60-90.

What if my children don’t behave?
It sometimes happens but don’t stress, we will make another appointment and try again.

Can we do family as well as baby photos?
Of course. Most people take the opportunity to do lots of different combinations- Mum and baby, Dad and baby, Family and baby shots.

Do I need to make an appointment?
Preferably. An appointment will guarantee you get the best time for your baby/family to ensure they are in the best mood. However we frequently have people who need a shoot “asap”. So if you need a session right away we can accommodate you. Just call or drop in to your nearest studio.

What is the best age to take baby pictures?
This is a question we get asked every day and there really is no correct answer. All ages are different stages and we will capture the best images we can at any age, even really little ones just days old.

Do you offer retouching?
We offer retouching from simple blemish removal to much more involved jobs. This isn’t however part of our print cost and is not done automatically, so remember to mention it to you design consultant at the time of ordering.

Viewing and choosing your pictures

How long does the selection take?
The selection and designing appointment takes 1 hour. You will need to make an appointment with a consultant to do this.

How will I know how big to enlarge my pictures?
It’s a really great idea to work out where you would display your pictures before you come for the design appointment. Advise your designer the wall spaces you wish to fill and they will design pieces that will look like they were designed for the space.

Will someone help me decide on the best images and design them into frames?
One of our trained design consultants will sit down with you and help you design your favourite pictures into finished pieces. They will guide you on the best presentation for your pictures

Can I do the selecting and design on the same day?
Of course. Your pictures are usually ready to view 20 minutes after your photographic session. Following your session, your photographer will make a time for you to come back in and select your pictures with one of our design consultants. Some people prefer to come back on a day without children to make the selection process a little easier.

Is there a limit to how many pictures I can purchase?
There is no limit to the amount of pictures you can purchase. All pictures that you purchase outside your package can be custom designed to suit your needs.

When will my pictures be ready to collect?
Your pictures will be ready to collect within 3-6 weeks from the day you place your order. All our pictures are professionally printed and custom frames so we like to take out time to ensure we deliver a perfect product to you every time.
